Colleagues from across SATCoL joined in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

From Wellingborough to Dumbarton, and Workington to Dunfermline, lots of cakes were baked, sold and consumed to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Arlene McKenna, SATCoL’s Welfare Manager, who also hosted a coffee morning and helped promote the joined up effort across the company, said: “SATCoL colleagues raised a total £1,045.96 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s been a fantastic effort by everyone. From the bakers, the donators, the eaters, to the organisers, I would like to say a very big thank you to you all!”

The charity is close to Arlene’s heart:

“My reason for hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning is to give back to those who helped to guide me through the whirlwind of emotions and worries I had when I received a cancer diagnosis back in 2017. Experiencing the work this Charity does first hand showed me just how valuable their assistance really is. Cancer is a big enough challenge to face in itself, never mind the unwanted additional factors that come with it. Giving funds to professionals who assist with all of the other difficulties that come as part of any diagnosis is a wonderful gift that means more than you can ever know.”
